On 24 June 2025, YES and Microsoft hosted the National AI Skilling Day at Gallagher Estate, Midrand, a major milestone in the rollout of the National AI Skills Initiative.

This event is part of the ongoing YES x Microsoft partnership, which aims to equip young South Africans with future-ready digital skills in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. It builds on Microsoft’s commitment to provide 50,000 FREE certification exam vouchers to South African youth.
